Broadly speaking, my curiosity ​is about Artificial Intelligence (AI). Specifically, my expertise are speech synthesis, social signal processing and affective computing. Development of interactive context-aware Text-To-Speech (TTS) systems that are equipped with emotional and social skills is the key interest of mine. My interests also include cognitive systems, multimodal interaction, and machine learning algorithms. 

 

After receiving my doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science from Saarland University (Germany) in January 2012, I have been continuing my post doctoral research on social signal processing and speech synthesis at Institute for Intelligent Systems and Robotics (ISIR) and CNRS-TELECOM ParisTech. I also worked as a researcher at German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) between 2007 and 2011.​​

During the past six years, I have also been a participant member in national and multinational (EU) research projects ILHAIRE, SEMAINE, ALIZ-E and IDEAS4Games. I am one of the core developers of OpenMARY Text-To-Speech (TTS) framework.
